Nocino -Liquore di Noci
Nocino is a sticky dark brown digestif liqueur made from unripe, green walnuts. Popular in the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy, it was originally made by monks for medicinal purposes.
After steeping for several months in high spirits with a combination of spices, the nuts are gently hand pressed and the now black spirit is sweetened.
Its aromatic bitter-sweet flavour is great with desert or at the end of a meal. Kis Nocino is handmade using a traditional recipe.
Kis Nocino Espresso Martini

45 mls Vodka
15 mls Nocino
10 mls of Maple Syrup (today I used Agave instead)
30 mls fresh shot coffee.
Shake all this with ice till chilled and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with grated dark chocolate.
